Transference happens when testosterone transfers from your skin to someone else through direct contact. If you've applied topical testosterone and touch another person in that area, the hormone can transfer to them. Wash hands thoroughly after application and avoid skin contact with others in the treated area. Testosterone can also vaporize for four to six hours after application, so avoid close contact with small children during this window.
